Day 11: More Friends and More Pirates

Its halfway through day 12 and nobody ever posted day 11! I had a great day. I played games with mom and walked two miles, well I peddled some of it. In the afternoon my friend Evan came by and brought me a real nice card and gifts. He also brought me a whoopee cushion. I'm having fun with the nurses by getting them to sit in the seat with the cushion. I got to see Evan from the parking deck. Thank you so much Evan for coming.

In the evening we watched Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest. It was a little scarier than the first, but it was really cool. I only hid my eyes when there was kissing.

Here is another Crazy Hat:

Hi AJ!!

I tried to post a comment yesterday and for some reason, it wouldn't take my message, so I am trying again.

I'm glad you are getting lots of exercise and your second hat is wonderfully weird.

David and I took our dog Wanda on a beautiful hike high up in the mountains right by Mt. Rainier on Thursday. It was incredible! We had lunch on a hill called Noble Knob that was at elevation 6200 feet and a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains, including a very close-up view of Mt. Rainier. There used to be a fire lookout cabin there where a guy would live there all summer long just watching for forest fires. The cabin is no longer there. All of the wildflowers were in bloom because it is springtime in the high mountains right now--weird, huh? Spring comes in early August, summer is in late August and early September and fall is in later September and early October. Winter is the rest of the time at that elevation, with many feet of snow for many months. It was fun and Wanda chased chipmunks the whole time; she never caught one!

Well, AJ, that's just a little news from the Northwest. We are praying for you and are glad that things are going as the doctors are hoping. You keep up the good work and we're looking forward to seeing your next weird hat! Bye for now, AJ...

Love,
Mary Jo & David

Hi AJ,

You are asleep by now as I send this... I'm testing to see if I can post after following your dad's helpful instructions. I don't have much news to share; just letting you know we're thinking about you and hope you have a good day today (by the time you read this). I rode my horse up the hill here today. I took the dog with me and we had a lovely ride... Bye for now...

Love,
Mary Jo & David

AJ,

This is a "late post" for your head shaving pictures: You definitely have one awesome Dad (and Mom, too!).

Richard said that if you would just move back and be his neighbor again, he would shave his head, too! :)

We all miss you!

Love and Prayers,
The Hundscheids

Dear AJ,
I'm so glad you had more visitors. Also, I'm glad you felt better on Day 12. I love the crazy hats!! That first one was quite creepy but I loved it. Continue to share them with us. Also, is the Whimpy Kid book one that I put in your box? If you like it let me know and I'll send you more. There are lots of those books. Take care and I miss you!
